# Datagrove

> Datagrove is a development and engineering agency in Amsterdam. We build websites, platforms, mobile apps and AI solutions for SMBs and start-ups, combining the speed of modern AI tooling with the discipline and quality of senior developers, for a fraction of the cost of a traditional agency.

## What we do

Datagrove builds custom software for clients. We deliver four kinds of work, either standalone or combined:

- **Websites**: fast-loading, well-indexed sites that clients can maintain themselves.
- **Platforms**: online tools and dashboards for customers or internal teams, including authentication and payments.
- **Mobile apps**: native-feel apps for iOS and Android from a single codebase (Expo + React Native), including push notifications, in-app payments, offline support and App Store / Play Store publication.
- **AI solutions**: smart assistants and automations that take work off a team's hands, plus AI workflows, client portals and data dashboards.

We write real code in the client's own private GitHub repository. The client owns the code and IP from day one, with no lock-in to Datagrove as an agency.

## How we work

We use AI as an accelerator, not a replacement. Senior developers write and review every line of code; AI helps with scaffolding, refactoring and testing. This lets us ship faster than a traditional agency while keeping the same quality and discipline.

Our process runs in three steps:

1. **Briefing and advice**: a 30-minute intro call. The client explains what they want; we honestly say whether and how we can help.
2. **Code development**: senior developers build with AI as a speed-up. The client sees weekly demos and can follow along. Code lives in their private repo.
3. **Go-live**: we deploy to production, then keep building or maintain the application based on real user behaviour.

Typical timelines: a marketing site or MVP goes live in 2-6 weeks, a full platform in 6-12 weeks, mobile apps in between (often 4-8 weeks).

- Founded in 2025 by Sion Coolwijk, who remains the architectural lead on every project.
- Based in an office on the Herengracht in Amsterdam.
- Works with a flexible model: a small core surrounded by a network of entrepreneurial developers, freelancers and students who scale per project.
- Security and privacy (GDPR / AVG) are part of the architecture from the first line of code. Hosting defaults to within the EU; an NDA can be signed on request.
- No low-code or no-code: Datagrove delivers production-grade code, and can also rescue projects that started in tools like Bubble, Lovable or n8n and hit limits on security, scalability or integrations.
- Pricing is scoped per project; clients receive a fair quote after the scope is defined together.
