Datagrove is a development and engineering agency in Amsterdam. We build websites, platforms, apps and AI solutions for clients, combining the speed of modern AI tooling with the discipline of senior developers.
How it started
Started in a bedroom in Amsterdam.
Datagrove was founded in 2025 by Sion Coolwijk. Born in Hilversum, Sion moved to Amsterdam to study Data Science and stayed ever since. The company started in his bedroom, built in evenings and weekends next to a full-time job as an engineer.
Sion has always been entrepreneurial, dreaming up ways to make customers happy since he was a kid. After being involved in plenty of startups and platforms, he wanted the room to follow his own creativity and entrepreneurship, so he left his job to commit to Datagrove fully. Where we work
On the Herengracht in Amsterdam.
Datagrove works from an office on the Herengracht in Amsterdam. It is more than a workplace: it is a place to stop by for a coffee, to see what we build and how we do it, and where we host events and trainings.
Behind that is a pool of entrepreneurial people who do the implementation work for clients, alongside a student pool that Datagrove keeps close so they can learn and work next to their studies.
