About Datagrove

Datagrove is an AI-native development agency on the Herengracht in Amsterdam. We build websites, platforms, mobile apps and AI systems for companies. We use AI as an accelerator, not a replacement: every line of code is written and reviewed with the discipline of a senior developer.

We are growing. Our first interns and engineers have joined, client work is expanding, and we are opening the next spot. You join a small team where your pull request lands in a real product and your demo goes to a real client.

What you do

You build web and mobile apps for clients. You will learn to:

  • Build features for client web and mobile apps with TypeScript, React, React Native and Tailwind.
  • Use AI as a programming partner: write good instructions, check the result, understand every line you ship.
  • Find where AI makes a client's product smarter, then build and test it yourself.
  • Talk to clients: turn wishes into scoped tasks, share progress, give demos, deliver properly.
  • Think in business context: why does this feature matter, and what does it need to do?

Your development plan

In week one we sit down and write your personal development plan: which hard skills and which soft skills you want to grow in, and how we get there. We check it together every month. The plan builds on a curriculum applied directly in client work:

  1. 01Git, GitHub and VS Code. Branches, pull requests and code reviews.
  2. 02Developing with Claude. AI as a programming partner, review as a safety net.
  3. 03Web development. How a web app, an API and a database work together.
  4. 04AI in the product. Building and testing AI features in web and mobile apps.
  5. 05Working for a client. Scoping, communicating, demoing, delivering.

Who we are looking for

We are not looking for years of experience. We are looking for someone who likes to build and learns fast.

  • A student (CS, AI, software engineering or similar) who wants to build, not just study.
  • You love building with AI and want to learn to do it properly, with a plan.
  • You can explain what you built to someone who is not a developer.
  • Curious about the business side: what a client needs and why.
  • Available 24 to 32 hours per week for 3 to 6 months, in Amsterdam.

What we offer

An internship where learning and building run side by side. Everything you ship is yours to show.

  • A portfolio of shipped features in production products, with real clients as references.
  • A personal development plan for the hard and soft skills you choose.
  • Weekly check-in and feedback through code reviews.
  • You are judged on what you deliver, not on how many hours you stare at a screen.
  • A market-rate internship compensation.
  • A work space on the canals of Amsterdam, in the city centre.
  • Good work opens the door to a junior position, with multiple client projects and higher pay.
